sorry we can not transport your entire party back to the parking lot. We will however, transport a DRIVER back so that

OUR RIVER TURTLE POLICY
We have become involved with a project instituted by THE NATURE CONSERVANCY to assist in PROTECTING TURTLES
on the Rivers in the State of Michigan.
Please DO NOT TOUCH the TURTLES which you will see either in the MUSKEGON RIVER or ON A LOG OR ROCK ABOVE THE
RIVER or ON THE BANKS OF THE MUSKEGON RIVER.
Turtles are becoming endangered along the Rivers in North America. If we nature loving individuals
wish to see TURTLES in a few years something has to be done soon in order to protect them. Each time a turtle is removed
from the river it eliminates one part of a breeding pair which produce hundreds of eggs in its lifetime. If everyone
removed just one small cute little turtle from the river there would soon be none! We would like to think that OUR GRANDCHILDREN
and their GRANDCHILDREN could still experience the thrill of spotting a turtle sunning itself on a warm afternoon. If
we continue to abuse our natural resources soon this will not be possible, and WHAT A WASTE IT WOULD BE. (According
to Lindsey A. Rup, daughter of Owner Sue A. Hosbach, a Biology Major, some varieties of Turtles do not even reach breeding
maturity until they are like 8 years old. If we continue to remove the baby turtles, soon there will only be old turtles
in the river who's breeding cycle has aged to the point that the turtles are unable to mate. A Wood Tortoise does not
reach breeding maturity until the age of 15 and due to encroachment from humans on their ecosystem, their average life expenctancy
is less than 15 years! This turtle is one of the most intelligent of all turtles, has been compaired to apes, and has
been studied by biologists to measure the stress that humans experience when their natural environment is reduced to overpopulation.)
SO...PLEASE LEAVE TURTLES AND OTHER CREATURES WHERE YOU FIND THEM ----IN THEIR NATURAL HABITAT.
