Angel is a pure bred Golden Retriever. She was born December 18, 2006 in Grant, Newaygo Co., Michigan. Her
disposition is gentle and she is often scared of her own shadow. Guess you could say she is rather timid until she understands
a situation or warms up to a person.
It was NOT a hard decision at all which one of the 11 puppies would move into my home. That little white stripe on her
nose sort of made her stick out from all her brothers and sisters. Out came the cell phone and her picture was taken
so I could remember what my future angel looked like.
Next came a name. Cassie is short for Cassiopia the constallation which forms the large "W" in the northern skies.
Guess Cassiopia was a goddess in mythology. I wanted to name the new pup after a heavenly body also.
Most constellations are named for MEN it appears. I had to really think and do a little research on constellations
and mythology to determine which female names might be availabe. Almost went with Andromeda, "Andy" for short.
Just did not fit the sweet doganality which the puppy possessed. She was just like a little Angel.
So, she became my little precious Angel. Later it was remembered that the owners Grandmother had a small white
poodle named Angel before she died years ago. The name was appropriate.
She is learning fast. Housebroken. Shakes hands. Speaks. Hi-fives. Sits. Lays down.
Comes when called (Most of the time.) Walks on her leash. Sleeps on the bed. Begs for food. Barks.
Fights with Cassie. Has never chewed up anything which is a definate plus. (About 8 months old...precious darling
too to attempting to become a chewing beast. Actually ate my wallet and was working on my drivers license, DOT physica
card, and all school bus driver training update cards! BUSTED her before these precious documents were destroyed!!!)
Oh well....you have met her.
We will update her genius development here if she adds new tricks or habits to her otherwise spoiled lifestyle.
